YEAH, BABY!!
I just got another one of my elementary schools to grant permission to post students' pictures on the website. Currently, 2 of my 3 schools have agreed to it. This could have never been done without the help of Karmen and Mr. Miyakoshi who handled a lot of the Japanese ground work.
The way it works is explaining the website and what it is trying to accomplish. Then, sending each parent an explanation of the site and permission slip. The parent signs or doesn't sign the form and sends it back to the school. Then, I am provided with a list of students who are on the black list. I was kinda nervous approaching my schools but was pleasantly surprised by how excited they were to help out.
At one of the schools about over 160 out of 178 students' parents said okay. I'm still waiting for the permission slips to return from the other school.
When I concrete the details of this new idea, I will post all the necessary forms online so anyone else who wants to do this can.
I was actually surprised to hear one of my kochos say that posting students pictures online is GENERAL okay if you can't see their nametags.
