I find this weird. I can understand a company apologizing to customers for failing to produce goods that were up to standards or blunders or such, but a novelist apologizing to his fans for taking drugs is absurd. "I can't forgive myself for betraying fans' trust in me." -- Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa? TRUST? WHAT TRUST? First of all, who gives a monkey's ass? I don't read people like William Gibson or Bruce Sterling because I trust them; I like their writing style, drugged or not. Second, can you imagine if the likes of Hunter Thompson apologizing to fans for taking drugs? ?? What a farce. Get lost, you loser. mdn.mainichi.jp/national/news/20071031p2a00m0na014000c.html
