Cool, although I'm surprised that since it included the Iranian (persian) tongue under a indo-europe subtext. I guess I'm a product of the current age and would have assumed ancient Persia as part of the Middle East/Mesopotamic geographical region.
Already knew the English derived from germanic part though. Although Yiddush was another surprise since it belongs to such a small and specific ethnic group and is bordering on the edge of a dying as a language. As my grandparents speak it fluently, my parents can recognize a sentence or two, and I only know a word here or there. For instance my opinions of this graph are complete "mischagas"
