How much planning do you do WITH the homeroom elementary teachers?
I usually try to give them a lesson plan for every lesson and highlight the parts I would like for them to do. When I see a class continously, I can take a few minutes to discuss the next lesson.
Does anyone meet with teachers during the planning stages? Can anyone recommend a way in which to meet with and discuss the lessons with each teacher? I am based in the BoE so I have to basically make an appointment with each teacher if I want to discuss the lessons.
Any advice? tips?

I try and meet with my teachers at the end of the ES day and discuss the next visit. Sometimes, I would run into the problem that a couple of teachers would be missing, but there always seems to be at least one teacher present. I go to that teacher and explain to them what I want to teach for the next visit. Additionally, I explain the other classes and ask them to jot down notes and give it to the appropriate teachers. Finally, I tell the teacher if anyone them have a problem with the lesson or unclear as to the game we can talk about it the morning of my next visit. I've never had a problem with this, probably because the teachers like to see their ALTs taking an active role in their visits.
I'm not sure how things are going to fair with the changes in the upcoming years but I would think the ALT and HRT will need to have better communication since the HRT will be teaching by themselves.
I still am trying to get my mind around the HRT solo teaching an English class. I find it extremely ironic the ALT has the experience and know-how to teach ES English but they are not part of the process of creating the ES English system or the topics, yet inexperienced HRTs are part of the planning and implentation process.
I think MEXT is keeping these classes classified as 'general studies classes' so that HRTs won't have to receive training and certification to teach English. At this point, the HRT or the ALT doesn't need a license or why not let the people with the experience help in the planning process?
I have an idea but its nothing that I haven't said already...

I control my class completely including the teacher. When I need the teacher, they come running. When I say jump, they ask 'how high?'
