ummmm what is the purpose of this? sorry, just curious... It's a replacement name for 'ALT goodies'. I didn't like the prior name and asked for requests for new names. Of the names I received, this one was best.

it's not 'junk' in the literal term...more metaphorical. A junk drawer is somewhere you put miscellaneous stuff when you don't know where else to put it.
Is that more of an American term, 'junk drawer'?

A 'junk drawer' is the draw you toss EVERYTHING that has no place of its own into. Everyone I know in the US has one. It's universal.

I don't really see any ignorance in junk's statement. America is the center of the world, so anything we say should naturally be immediately accepted by our english speaking country counter-parts. Although i guess to be technical America is more Spanish speaking now...But still point stands America is the center so everyone should use our words and phrases...at least until china takes over, then we can say ching chu xiu ni (not actually chinese)
