Jeez...yeah, I saw this on tv a few days ago. First thing I did was double-check the calendar, since I had to go into the City the next day... yopparaisaru said a while back... : It`s weird that suddenly one person`s decided to be violent in a more external way and then suddenly there are all these copycats... that it`s kind of a novelty. That says something about Japan but is also just generally kinda scary at the same time... (Also, Niigata Eki seems kind of hard to burn down as a lot of it is, well, concrete.)

Jeez...And Japan is known to be such a safe place. People won't steal your wallet but it seems they have no problem running you over with a truck then start a stabbing spree. As to the Niigata student, all we know is that he's somewhere in northern Niigata, he could just be some backwoods kid who plans to light fire to his unmanned, rickety, falling apart eki. I've seen a couple of those around here (southern niigata). But even if he did try to light Niigata eki on fire, you'd think people would stop and stare at the kid throwing fuel all over the place. Otherwise a 13 year old running around the eki with just a lighter would look pretty funny...

. . . o.o
Right, I think I`ll be driving for the next few weeks...That`ll save me from getting more splinters when coming down the stairs from the north-bound tracks, if nothing else.
cough.

My Japanese family and I were sitting around the table a couple months ago discussing how random and family-orientated anger murders are skyrocketing in Japan. The Japanese are collapsing under the stress of their own culture and the stresses it produces in a modern society.

I'm not even Japanese and I can feel this pressure building in me.
