My newest gripe with New Horizon textbook...
I use, in my opinion, the worst but most popular English textbook in JHS, New Horizon. I just ran into this problem today.
My JTE wants me to prep an activity for 'have to' grammar (‚µ‚È‚¯‚ê‚΂Ȃç‚È‚¢). In my opinion, 'have to' and 'must' are basically the same grammar point. However, in the textbook, in between these two grammar points, it teaches the 'will' future tense.
Would you agree 'have to' and 'must' are synonymous and should be taught together?

Yes, I think they are the same. If you go deeper I am sure someone can find hair splitting differences but at this level, don't complicate things!
