I know it's after Halloween but I came up with a nice short story for a friend whom I'm teaching after hours. It tells the basic story of the Headless Horseman. If anyone is interested, it might be nice for a 3rd-year elective (sentaku) class or HSers or even your after-hours students. I used it with a gentleman who barely speaks a lick of English, but he understood 50~60% of it without my help and really enjoyed it. He said he felt really good that he understood so much, so I'm happy with the lesson. JunkDNA page of shared filesYes, I will submit this to Engp as well. And what I thought the best part about this story was that it taught verbs like 'jump over', 'jump at', 'ride away', etc, which will help the kids expand their vocab, but not necessarily through new vocab. BTW, this took a full hour to do, so you might want to break it into two or three lessons.
