The elementary English topics aren't supported in JHS?
For example, one of the early ES topics is colors. But, when the student enters into JHS, the spelling for colors isn't even taught until the second year. Instead, they study words like -- firework, hankerchief, hospital, husband, midnight, etc.

It's even more disturbing that some of the English Lesson Schedules that the EMSs have are trying to teach 'advanced' English dialog like:
CUSTOMER: I'd like an apple please. SHOPKEEPER: Here you are. CUSTOMER: Thanks. How much. SHOPKEEPER: That will come to 3729 yen please.
IN FIFTH GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While I am all for teaching a slightly watered down version of this at fifth grade, it just strikes me as extremely ironic. Makes you feel bitter about dropping the level to the ABCs in JHS.
Anywho...
